Everyone loves a clean, well-designed pair of kicks. However, sometimes you’ve got to sacrifice comfort for the sake of the design. Look at a pair like the Common Projects Achilles Low or any Hender Scheme. Design on ten, comfort on two.
However, this doesn’t always have to be the case. A shoe can look dope and be incredibly comfortable as well. And because we know you love to be comfortable while you look fresh, we’re bringing you three of our favorite kicks that you can stunt in while remaining comfortable. Peep game.
Asics Gel Lyte V
Although running shoe technology has evolved far beyond the Gel Lyte V, this classic model from Asics still remains one of the most comfortable shoes on the market for casual wear. The soft foam midsole combined with the foot-hugging sockliner makes for a cozy, soft fit that you don’t see on too many retro runners. From Kith collars (like this “Volcano” model above) to GR colorways, there’s a pair on the market for every style
Nike Flyknit Lunar 1
Although Nike is now on their third iteration of the Flyknit Lunar, the Flyknit Lunar 1 still stands out as their top effort. With a dual-density foam midsole featuring Lunarlon cushioning, and a snug-fitting Flyknit upper that molds to your foot with use, the Lunar 1 is by far the most comfortable sneaker in the line, taking the cake easily over the too-narrow Flyknit Lunar 2 and the too-firm Flyknit Lunar 3. Although these beauties aren’t on store shelves anymore, you can still scoop a pair from eBay or (if you’re lucky) find them at your local Nike outlet.
Adidas Ultra Boost
I’ve never put a more comfortable shoe on my foot than the Adidas Ultra Boost. The soft Primeknit upper provides a glove-like fit, while the Boost midsole offers all the support of a Nike Lunarlon midsole…but with an even softer cushion. If you’ve never tried on an Ultra Boost before..please do. It’ll change your life…you’ll be walking on clouds all day long.
Cozy boys. You’ve now got three shoes that’ll ensure you stay comfy all day long. What’s your favorite shoe on the list? Do you have a specific shoe that you go to for a comfy fit?
