Remember the good old days?
The days when you used to walk into the store on release day, buy your Jordans, take them out of the box, lace them up, and walk out of the store with them on your feet? We do too. We actually enjoyed those days so much that we’re here today telling you that you should bring back the old habit, and start rocking your kicks right after you cop them.
Nowadays, there’s too much emphasis placed on sitting on your kicks after you cop them. No matter if they’re super-limited or a readily available GR, people don’t seem to like to break their new purchases out until much later down the road. While we understand that it’s nice to keep a banger on deck and bust it out months or years down the line, there’s no need to do that with the majority of the shoes in your collection.
They’re shoes. They’re meant to be worn. Why not just go ahead and pull them right out? You know it’s satisfying to flex with a fresh pair on, so why would you deny yourself that instant satisfaction? Sure, some people might look at you sideways because of the stupid release day taboo, but who cares what they think? You’re out here and you know it.
So the next time you cop a release, put them right on your feet and hit the road. You’ll be glad you did. Trust us.
Editor’s Note: I practice what I preach. Bred I’s and Yeezy 350 Boosts? Rocked them both the very same day I copped them. It’s the only way to go.
