Does The Tubular Shadow Have A Place In The Sneaker Game?

Getting Yeezys can be hard.

If you don’t grab them on release day (which you probably won’t), you’ll have to pay resell, and even though prices aren’t as high as they used to be thanks to the recent cascade of Yeezy V2 releases, around $500 is still a lot of money for a pair of shoes, and is not a price that some people are willing to pay.

Enter the Tubular Shadow. One of the newest Adidas releases, the Tubular Shadow offers a Yeezy-inspired look for a fraction of the price (they’re only $100 and available at every mall chain retailer), and have been selling surprisingly well, leading us to wonder: is there a place for the Tubular Shadow in the sneaker game?

We understand that not everyone will be willing to pay for Yeezys. We understand that some people will still want a Yeezy-inspired look. We’re of the opinion that buying a Tubular Shadow is much better than purchasing a fake pair of Yeezys, because you’re still getting a real product.

Don’t get us wrong: we’re not a fan of the shoes, and you won’t see us rocking them any time soon, even if Kanye does wear them. We just understand that there’s a place for them. Sometimes you’ve gotta start small to finish big, and starting with a shoe like the Tubular Shadow is not a terrible idea.

What do you think of the Adidas Tubular Shadow? Do you think it’s an ugly Yeezy rip-off, or do you like it and think it has a place in the sneaker game?
