We’ve been talking about the Jordan I “Royal” release for a long while now. We’re hyped for the release, as we’re sure you are too. The thirst for these is going to be very real.
However, there’s a much more serious thirst than a thirst for shoes going on in our world, and that’s in Flint, MI, where clean water is still not available. It’s pretty awful … so thankfully one sneaker shop is doing what they can to help out with the Flint water crisis.
RISE NY has set aside 24 pairs of the highly-desired sneakers for a raffle with all proceeds going to the Flint Child Health and Development Fund. Each dollar you donate gives you one raffle entry, with the minimum amount of entries available for purchase set at $10 (so you get ten entries). Winners will receive the chance to purchase the highly desired shoes at retail.
Sure, some may complain about having to pay to enter a raffle, but the money’s going to a good cause. You can feel good about yourself, and donate money to a good cause. Plus, you can win a great shoe at retail. It’s a great thing all around, and it’s an easy way for the sneaker community to come together and get some money going for a good cause. You can donate online, so hit the link here if you want to find out a little more try your luck. You’re winning by donating even if you don’t win the shoes … so give it a shot!
