Congats to Studiiyo23 On 4 Years In Business!

I usually wouldn’t write an article that sings the praises of anything this highly, but the topic of this specific article isn’t just anything.

Today marks a special day in Minneapolis sneaker culture. 4 years ago, the best sneaker boutique in the state, Studiiyo23 opened its doors. With 3  solid founding principals the business was based on (passion, creativity, and love for the game) “the Studiiyo” (as some loyal customers affectionately call it) quickly became more than a store: It became a place where people who love everything from sneakers to art to hip-hop could meet like-minded people in a welcoming enviroment. Nowadays it’s not just a store. It’s a cultural hub.

From the first time I walked in there a few years ago, I was welcomed. It’s rare that you find a boutique that has such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and I must admit that I was a little surprised at how gregarious everyone was. When I go over there now, it feels more like I’m going to a friend’s house.

I’m a proud supporter of Studiiyo23 and everything that they do. The good folks over there treat everyone with kindness and respect. From Moh, who has become a big-brother type figure to me, to Jahmade, who’s one of my best friends, to other great friends like Bill, Taylor, Matt, Yoseph and Sean, there’s an abundance of quality people in the community they’ve established and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it.

Stop through this weekend! Pick up some new kicks, gear, or art, or just play the arcade machine. Whatever you do, it’s bound to be a great time, and there’s a damn good chance you’ll have the pleasure of meeting some real wavy people.

Congrats on 4 years in business, my friends. Here’s to many more.
