It was a wonderful day, filled with sneakers, music, art, good food, good people, and excellent weather.

TCSAX 6 (the first ever outdoor TCSAX) went down behind Studiiyo23 yesterday, and it was one for the books. I’m proud to say that I’ve been to every single TCSAX (I’ve actually still got the shirt from the very first one), and this one just might have been the best one yet.

Why’s that, you might ask? It’s simple. The positive, upbeat, welcoming vibe that TCSAX has always been known for seemed to be even more prevalent than usual. Sure, packing the Cabooze is dope, and throwing an event in the Target Center is a big milestone for any business, but nothing beats shutting down a city street for the day to bring the community together. read more

Here at KicksOneTwo, we greatly enjoy any sneaker-related videos, and one of our favorite series is Complex‘s “Sneaker Shopping”. If you haven’t seen the show before, the concept is pretty straightforwards: Various celebrities go shopping for kicks with Complex’s own Joe La Puma, talk a little shop, and then grab a few pairs.

It’s a fun and easy way to see who knows what about shoes (some know a lot, some know nothing at all), and it also doubles as an enjoyable casual interview, as whoever is shopping for their kicks is usually relaxed and in a relatively benign mood. read more

The OVO X’s dropped this weekend. If you were within 5 feet of a computer at any point this weekend, you most likely saw for yourself. The sneaker world went crazy, the few stores that did get the shoes had to raffle (of course) and NDC sold its stock in a mere matter of seconds (of course).

Seems like just another hyped-up release, right? Well that’s the case for the most part, but one shop that received the shoes made the release memorable for another reason.

“What shop, and what did they do?” you might be asking yourself. The shop is Sneaker Politics, a Louisiana  sneaker store with three different locations, and what they did was make anyone who wanted to purchase the shoe wear it out of the store. This is great for many different reasons. read more

Maybe you love him. Maybe you hate him. Maybe you think he’s a genius. Maybe you think he’s a blithering idiot.

Yes, we’re talking about Kanye West here, more specifically the shoes that he’s designed. His influence reaches far and wide over the sneaker landscape, and every single shoe that he’s put out has sold out almost instantly. There’s few others that have the level of sway (YOU AIN’T GOT THE ANSWERS!!!) Yeezy has in the sneaker game, and as so, it’s only right that we rank his sneaker collars, from worst to best. We’ll even provide a little background info on each shoe for those who might not know their stories. Keep in mind we’re ranking the individual models (both signature shoes and collars), not the specific color ways. It’s also our personal opinion, so feel free to agree or disagree as you see fit.
