Designer kicks. Although many sneakerheads possess a rudimentary knowledge of them and what they’re about, they can seem like a foreign concept. They’re expensive. Some of them are garish. They don’t look like what we’re used to if we’re into Jordans or Adidas.
Thankfully, designer sneakers don’t have to be a foreign concept. There are several simple, clean models that you can work into your rotation without overexerting yourself. The price may be a little high, but you’ve got to remember you’re paying for and receiving the finest quality. Here’s 3 designer shoes that can easily find a place in your rotation.
1. Balenciaga Arena High (Black)-$585
Although the red pair seems to get the most time in the spotlight, the black Balenciaga Arenas are easily the cleanest. Take whatever black high-tops you’ve got in rotation (Jordan I’s, Chucks, whatever), put them on ice, and try these instead. You’ll love the premium leather and subtile yet aggressive styling. There’s a good chance they’ll never leave your rotation.
2. Common Projects Achillies Low (White)-$410
Everyone loves a clean pair of white low top kicks, and if you’re a fan of Stan Smiths, Bruins, or any other low-tops, you’ll feel right at home rocking the Achillies Low in all white. A sleek, simple silhouette makes these extremely wearable, and the signature gold numbers on the heel add just enough flair to turn a head or two.
3 Saint Laurent SL/10H-$645
If you love Jordan I’s as much as we do, we think you’ll appreciate the SL/10H from Saint Laurent. Modeled after the iconic basketball shoe, it’s constructed of the most premium materials you’ll find anywhere, and is a perfect blend of high fashion and athletic styles. Your Jordan I’s should always get love, but keep a pair or two of these on deck if at all possible. It’s good to switch it up sometimes.
