Minneapolis is a great city. It’s a melting pot of cultures, design, and art, and no matter where you’re at, be it far South or far North, you can always manage to find something dope. And if you like to take photos? Then you’re really in luck, as there’s tons of spots that provide scenic backdrops and great photo opps.
We love taking photos. Sneaker photos specifically (we are a sneaker-based website after all). Over our years of taking photos, we’ve developed a list of favorite places to go shoot…so we’re going to go ahead and list them off so you can get to snapping too. Without any further ado, here’s the best spots for sneaker photography in Minneapolis.
Uptown
If you follow us on Instagram (you definitely should if you don’t already), you likely already know that Uptown is our go-to sneaker shooting area in Minneapolis. Plenty of concrete walls, parking lots, and parks make for ample opportunities to get gritty urban shots, and there’s just enough greenery that you can switch it up a touch if you want as well.
North Loop
Seemingly the most trendy area of Minneapolis right now, the North Loop is a fantastic place to shoot sneaker photos. With the old warehouses intermingling with new developments, you can get a great mix of modern and antiqued shots, and you’re bound to find a new place to shoot every time you turn the corner.
Walker Sculpture Garden
There’s nowhere more unique to get pictures in Minneapolis than at the Walker Sculpture Garden. With world-class art all around you, you’re practically guaranteed to get a fire shot every time you aim your camera lens at something. Plus, the bridge over the highway can be a great backdrop if you get up there at the right time of day.
Mississippi River
We can’t forget about the banks of the Mississippi. You can go and get fire shots on the Stone Arch Bridge, or you can head down to the banks of the river itself for more rugged snaps. No matter where you chose to go, there’s backdrops galore, both of the man-made and natural variety.
Where’s your favorite place to shoot sneaker photos in Minneapolis? Is it one of these four locations, or somewhere else altogether? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter, check our Facebook page for daily updates, and, as always, be sure to follow us on Instagram for all the fire sneaker pictures you can handle.
