We’re big A$AP Rocky supporters here at KicksOneTwo. We love his music and sense of style, so we were hyped when we heard he’d be putting out a short film through his AWGE collective in preparation for the release of “Cozy Tapes, Vol. 1”, a commemorative mixtape that was originally initiated by A$AP Yams (R.I.P.)
Well, the film is here, and it’s a must-see. Entitled “Money Man”, it tells the tale of Rina, a youth trapped in a dark world rife with all kinds of negative energies. Rocky takes a large role in the film (obviously), and it also features A$AP Nast, A$AP Bari and Skepta. There’s also a cameo from Said Taghmaoui, who starred in “La Haine”, a 1995 film that “Money Man” draws most of its inspiration from.
And that’s not all. There’s also two new songs (both set to be part of the Cozy Tapes), the title track “Money Man”, featuring A$AP Nast and “Put That On My Set” featuring grime legend Skepta, who lends a particularly vicious verse.
It’s a fun-filled ride with great visuals and new music … what’s not to love about that? There’s a good chance you’ve been waiting on the Cozy Tapes for a while (just like we have), and this short film should be more than able to tide you over until then. Do yourself a favor, and hit play below. Trust us, you’ll be glad you did.
What did you think of Money Man? Did you like the film? Did either of the two new songs strike your fancy? If so, who do you think had the best verse? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter, check our Facebook page for daily updates, and, as always, be sure to follow us on Instagram for all the fire sneaker pictures you can handle.
