Continuing The Tradition: The Ultra Boost 3.0

The Ultra Boost is a fantastic shoe. The first two installments of Adidas’s most premium model both changed the sneaker game, first with their otherworldly comfort and then (on the second model) with extra durability courtesy of a Continental rubber outsole.

Yeah, the Ultra Boost is a great shoe. It was a day of sadness at KicksOneTwo when we realized there would be a hiatus from one of our favorite shoes on the market after all the 2.o releases were done (we’re not gonna lie, we were worried it might be quite a long wait before we saw something new), but we were thrilled this week when it was announced that the Ultra Boost 3.0 would be arriving … well … sooner or later (there’s no official release date just yet).

The Ultra Boost 3.0 picks up right where the last two left off, with a cozy Primeknit upper and a luxe full-length Boost cushioning system. The pattern on the upper and the Boost is different … but a change is always a good thing and as the shoe’s traditional silhouette is still intact, we don’t mind a few cosmetic adjustments.

Rumor has it that an olive pair will be releasing alongside the black and white pair pictured above whenever they drop, so we’ll have a nice swath of color options as well. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on what’s going on with the Ultra Boost 3.0’s, as a fresh pair is definitely needed for the rotation.
