The Ultra Boost has done what few other shoes manage to do: stay relevant in a market that’s changing and evolving by the day. Many new models will come out, get hot and be extremely popular for a short while … and then just fade into the ether, never to return to their previous levels of hype.
That didn’t happen to the Ultra Boost though. We’re on the third version (can you believe it?), and it’s still just as popular as ever. adidas has managed to keep it hot … and it’ll only get hotter with the recent announcement of its addition to adidas’s customization system, miadidas.
There’s no official word on how many pairs will be available or what exactly you’ll be able to do, but so far we know that you’ll be able to adorn your shoes with a multi-color Primeknit upper (which we’d assume will differ pair to pair like a Flyknit Racer), and you can choose between a white, black, and navy heel cage.
Customization nerds have got to be stoked: who wouldn’t want a unique multi-colored Ultra Boost? If we know adidas like we think we do (we’re wise to their tricks and strategies nowadays), they’ll keep production limited to keep desire high, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated when the options drop, and if any more information about the miadidas options are unveiled. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on a unique pair of multi-colored Ultra Boosts, now would we?
What do you think of the miadidas Ultra Boost options? What kind of Ultra Boost would you make for yourself if you had all the options you wanted?
